1004 — Job Change to Archer

Set when you apply (job_archer_q = 1). Completed when the Guildsman promotes you.

1. Talk to the Archer Guildsman in payon_in02 (64, 71) and choose "I want to be an Archer." then "Apply."
2. This sets job_archer_q = 1 and quest 1004.
3. You can check requirements immediately if you already have NV_BASIC 9; otherwise return at Job Level 10 with all Basic Skills.

1. Hunt Willow for four Trunk grades: S (5 points), A (3), B (2), and C / Wooden Block (1).
2. Turn them in together. The Guildsman scores every Trunk in your inventory.
3. You need a combined grade of 25 or higher. Dialogue shows the total out of 40, but 25 is the pass line — more than 40 still passes.

1. On a passing score the Guildsman takes all Trunks, changes your job to Archer, and completes quest 1004.
2. You receive a slotted Bow and Arrows. Arrow count is ((Grade A + Grade B) × 2) + Grade C.

Points are summed from every Trunk you are carrying. Pass at 25 or higher. All Trunks are consumed on success.

Slotted Bow plus Arrows. Arrow quantity is ((Grade A count + Grade B count) × 2) + Grade C count.

• Five Grade S Trunks (25 points) is the fastest pass. Mixing cheaper grades also works as long as the total is 25+.
• The Guildsman's requirements speech says Job Level 9; the skill check is NV_BASIC 9 (Job Level 10 with all Basic Skills).
• High Novice characters whose advanced job is Sniper, Clown, or Gypsy skip the Trunk test and change to High Archer immediately if NV_BASIC is 9 — no Bow reward on that path.
