Monk Job Change

Enter St. Capitolina Abbey, collect Moohae's items, recite Touha's vows, pass Boohae's mushroom or marathon trial, then clear Tomoon's combat maze. on ClassicRO.

Requirements

Must be an Acolyte with Job Level 40 or higher.
Use all First Job skill points before talking to Moohae for the job change.
Complete recitation, then either gather mushrooms or run the marathon.
Clear the spirit maze for Tomoon and return to Moohae.

Tohobu and Sensei Moohae

Talk to Tohobu at the abbey gate (prt_monk 59, 247). Give your name and job level, then choose "I wish to become a monk..." to set quest 3016.
Enter the abbey and talk to Sensei Moohae (monk_in 99, 58). Spend leftover skill points first.
Moohae assigns one of seven random item sets. Gather them and return.
He then sends you to elder Touha on the abbey grounds.

Touha — Recitation

Talk to Touha at prt_monk 251, 255 and choose Yes when ready.
Repeat the vow line by line. One of three random recitations is assigned (MONK_Q 11–13).
Type each line exactly as shown, including "In nomine Patris, et Filii" and "et Spiritus Sancti."
On success Touha sends you to Boohae.

Boohae — Mushrooms or Marathon

Find Boohae at prt_monk 57, 179 (he hides in a quiet corner). He randomly assigns mushrooms (MONK_Q 15) or the marathon (MONK_Q 16).
Mushrooms: enter the nearby building, talk to Hyunmoo in job_monk, and gather Orange Net Mushrooms and Orange Gooey Mushrooms. Bring 30 of each to pass.
Marathon: enter the test building and run laps around the track in monk_test until the supervisor announces the last lap (MONK_Q 16 through 25). Avoid trap tiles.
Quitting Hyunmoo's mushroom test switches you to the marathon instead.
After either test, visit Tomoon in the deepest room of the test building.

Tomoon — Combat Maze and Job Change

Tomoon (monk_test 319, 139) warps you to the maze. Kill every monster in your way and reach the exit portal on the opposite side.
The Proctor at monk_test 82, 85 can send you in. If you get stuck, log out and log back in to return to your save point.
On success Tomoon gives a Green Potion and sends you back to Sensei Moohae.
Moohae changes your job to Monk. Job Level 50 receives a slotted Knuckle Duster; otherwise you receive a Waghnakh.

Notes

Tohobu warps you out if you ignore him at the gate.
Hyunmoo's pass check requires 30 Orange Net Mushrooms and 30 Orange Gooey Mushrooms.
Marathon trap tiles warp you back. Stay on the track.
Upper-class characters are turned away at the gate.
