2041–2054 — Job Change to Sage

2041 enrollment; 2043–2045 discounted item fees; written and practical follow; dissertation quests 2048+; final turn-in of the Book to Kayron.

1. Enter the Sage Academy in Yuno and talk to Metheus Sylphe (yuno_in03 154, 35).
2. Standard fee: 70,000 zeny, or 1 Old Magic Book and 1 Necklace of Wisdom (Penetration).
3. Job Level 50: the fee is waived.
4. If you have less than 43,211 zeny you may ask for a discount: 30,000 zeny plus one of three random item sets.
5. You can still pay the full 70,000 zeny or turn in the two skip items after a discount set is assigned.
6. On enrollment he sends you to Professor Claytos in the left room.

1. Talk to Claytos Verdo at yuno_in03 105, 177.
2. Answer 20 questions. Each correct answer is 5 points. Pass at 80 or higher (at least 16 correct).
3. Topics cover Mage skills, items, monsters, and academy lore.
4. On pass, visit Hermes Tris for the practical.

1. Talk to Hermes Tris at yuno_in03 169, 180 and enter the waiting room.
2. You are warped to job_sage. Kill every monster in the arena before time runs out.
3. The Test Helper can explain the room. Failures can retry through Hermes.
4. On pass you choose a dissertation advisor: History (Saphien), Biology (Lucius), or Physics (Aebecee).

1. History — Saphien Layless (yuno_in03 62, 176): bring a Yggdrasil Berry, Seed of Yggdrasil, or Yggdrasil Leaf, plus writing supplies.
2. Biology — Lucius Celsus (yuno_in03 32, 102): gather 5 each of a random water-monster set, then answer that they share the water property.
3. Physics — Aebecee George (yuno_in03 244, 31): bring Stones, elemental arrows, or Holy Water depending on the assigned experiment.
4. All three paths also need writing supplies: Feather of Birds, Animal Skin, Wooden Block, Chinese Ink, and Empty Bottle to produce the Book.
5. Take the Book to Dean Kayron Grik (yuno_in02 38, 61). Spend leftover skill points, then he changes your job to Sage.
