1013 — Job Change to Thief

Set when the interview is passed (job_thief_q = 2). Completed when Brad promotes you.

1. Enter the Underground Room of Pyramid 1F (moc_prydb1) and talk to the Thief Guide at 39, 129.
2. Choose "Hey, I came here to be a Thief!" and apply. First visit sets job_thief_q = 1.
3. With NV_BASIC 9 she passes the interview, sets job_thief_q = 2 and quest 1013, and explains the mushroom test.

1. Leave the pyramid and go to Mr. Irrelevant in moc_ruins (141, 125), between two columns on the eastern field.
2. He warps you into job_thief1 at a random spawn and sets job_thief_q = 3.
3. You can re-enter later at job_thief_q = 3 if you need more mushrooms.

1. Kill Orange Mushrooms on the farm. They drop Orange Net Mushrooms and Orange Gooey Mushrooms.
2. Fabres, Chonchons, and Spores also spawn — they do not drop the test mushrooms.
3. You need 25 points: Net × 3 + Gooey × 1. Example: 9 Net and 0 Gooey, or 7 Net and 4 Gooey, or 25 Gooey.

1. Return to Comrade Brad at moc_prydb1 42, 133 (next to the Thief Guide).
2. He scores every test mushroom you are carrying. Below 25 points he sends you back for more.
3. At 25 or higher he takes all test mushrooms, changes your job to Thief, completes quest 1013, and pays a zeny subsidy.

Brad scores every qualifying mushroom in your inventory. Pass at 25 points. All test mushrooms are consumed on success.

Subsidy is ((Orange Net count × 5) + (Orange Gooey count × 2)) + 200 zeny, paid after the job change.

• The Thief Guide is in the Pyramid basement (moc_prydb1), not the surface ruins. Mr. Irrelevant is the farm warp on moc_ruins 141, 125.
• Random farm spawns: job_thief1 228,106 / 38,50 / 66,331 / 196,331 / 309,234.
• High Novice characters whose advanced job is Assassin Cross or Stalker skip the mushroom test and change to High Thief immediately if NV_BASIC is 9.
